George Rogers Clark National Historical Park
10:30 a.m.

Explore the grounds of the George Rogers Clark National Historical Park and experience the past, present, and future of your national park! See the present by visiting under the Lincoln Memorial Bridge to see how caves and cave formations occur, even in a manmade structure. Take a tour of the newly restored Clark Memorial basement to see how the national park is moving into the future with its new geothermal heating and cooling system. Finally, look into the past and not only see items that were dug up at the Clark Memorial, but also learn about George Rogers Clark’s fascination with prehistoric animals and his love of archaeology.

Registration at 886-4380 for this Youth Summer Reading program is helpful.
