Explore Your Universe! Kick off on Wednesday, May 29 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Youth Dept. Register and bring your own t-shirt to decorate!
KCPL and George Rogers Clark National Historical Park (GRCNHP) are partners in this year's program. The Summer Reading Program is free and open to the public.

Infants through 2nd grade.
3rd grade through 12 years of age.
TEENS: 13 to 17 years of age. Read 3 blocks on their log up to 12 blocks to receive 4 prizes.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Register at the Knox County Public Library
Between May 29 and July 15, 2013. The program ends July 27, 2013.
WHEN you register, you will receive a reading log as a record of the levels you have completed.
You are responsible for your own reading log. It will be stamped as you accumulate each of the four levels of minutes read.
Each group will receive prizes up to four levels.
PRIZES: We will begin awarding prizes on Monday June 3, 2013.
The last day to pickup prizes is July 27, 2013.
Prizes for Family Readers and Independents:
1st Level: Paperback book
2nd Level: Food Coupon or Book Bag
3rd Level: Food Coupon
4th Level: Paperback Book
Prizes for Teens:
1st level : Paperback book
2nd level: small light or book bag
3rd level: jump drive
4th level: paperback book
